1. Never leave your racket in a hot car
This is the single most damaging thing UAE players do to their equipment. Car interiors here can exceed 60°C in summer — hot enough to weaken the bonding between a racket's foam or EVA core and its carbon or fiberglass face over time.
The damage is gradual rather than dramatic: the racket doesn't crack, it just goes progressively "dead," losing pop and feel. Players often blame the racket's quality when the real cause was months of sitting in a parked car between sessions.
Fix: take it inside with you. If that's not practical, keep it in the boot rather than the cabin, and out of direct sun.
2. Fit an edge protector

6. Know when it's genuinely finished
Care extends life; it doesn't make a racket immortal. Signs it's time to replace:

- Delamination — the face separating from the core, often felt as a dull or rattling response
- Persistent "dead" feel — noticeably less pop than when new, even after a fresh grip
- Rattling inside the frame — usually means internal damage
